What did I get myself into?

This week, my team put me through a series of “dares.” They took ideas from our community and chose the final selections (if you missed my burlesque dancing – check it out here!)

The idea was to try new things, get out of my comfort zone, take risks, trust my team, and show the eff up. This is the same thing I teach in my mastermind groups—how often are you taking risks and trying things that might feel “scary” in the moment?

“Scary” to you might be investing in a program or event, asking a client to hire you, letting go of tasks and delegating more, pitching yourself to the media, sharing your story on stage, or doing your first podcast interview. Those actions were terrifying to me, too, in the early stages of my business.

But as a client of mine once said: “The path to success is paved with thousands of scary but necessary actions.”

“Scary but necessary” is a motto that I live by in my business and life. It’s how I built a multi-7-figure Coaching business and teach others how to do the same.

Operating in “scary but necessary” mode helps me continue to level up. And twirling around to sexy choreography isn’t the only scary but necessary thing I’ve been up to lately.

My team and I have invested a lot of money, time, and energy to pull off our upcoming 2022 Ultimate Coaching Convention. There are so many moving parts and pieces to hosting an online convention (booking speakers, agenda planning, production, etc.,) not to mention launching and selling it.

While I’ve hosted this convention in the past, that doesn’t make it any less scary. Putting something – anything – out into the world is scary, no matter how long you’ve been in business. But this event is absolutely a necessary risk

The Ultimate Coaching Convention changes lives and helps attendees level up into whatever is next for you—whether that’s doubling your income, expanding your team, building your legacy, or gaining the courage to put your monumental work out into the world. Every year, creative sparks fly, lucrative ideas are born, bold moves are made, and big revelations happen.

And that’s a scary but necessary risk worth taking.

If you’re reading this right now, I want you to hold yourself to a higher standard of action and bravery. What’s a necessary risk you can take this week?

Maybe it’s emailing a potential client and asking them to hire you.

Maybe it’s contacting that podcast and asking if they’d like to have you as a guest.

Maybe it’s finally launching that program, even if you don’t feel 100% ready.

Maybe it’s getting your booty to The Ultimate Coaching Convention, where you’ll be surrounded by people who take bold, scary, but necessary risks.

The next time something feels scary, when you feel a ton of resistance, remind yourself:

This is scary. This is necessary. This is doable. I am courageous. I am brave.

xo.
