I love having friends who keep me active and engaged in new activities! As soon as I told my good friend Stacey that I had a pulled hamstring, she immediately came to the rescue with yoga recommendations and invited me to come kayaking with her.
Something that I try to encourage all of my clients to do is to take their “inner athlete” on dates. Yes, you really DO have an athlete inside of you. It took me a long time, until I was about 34, to recognize that while I was never going to be the fastest, most agile or even sort of coordinated woman, there were plenty of things that I could do to move my body!
SWEAT CHALLENGE:
Pick a few new methods of body movement to try. Indoor rock climbing? Zumba? How about a hike?
