Fresh-Pressed Juice for fall

fuel

Y’all know how much I love Kris Carr and her yummy juices. (Remember last month when I went to her book launch in NYC?!).

Kris began juicing when she was diagnosed with a rare case of stage four vascular cancer in 2003.

Even though we tend to choose hot teas over juice in the fall, Kris is huge advocate for juicing, even in cooler temperatures.

In this interview posted on Well and Good, she says, “Juice can have a warming effect if you add a little kick to it. I like to put extra ginger in my green juice when it gets chilly outside. Plus it promotes circulation, healthy digestion, and it’s also great for boosting your immune system,” which is super important as cold-and-flu season creeps upon us.

This week I”m trying Kris’s seasonal, warming juice recipe, from Crazy Sexy Kitchen.
