When I travel, I often find myself in the middle of a parade. This delights me more than you can imagine.
There was the time I was in Paris with my husband Scott, and we stumbled upon the finish line of the Tour de France. Or the time when I was “stuck” an extra night in Italy (poor me, LOL) and had the pleasure of watching the Pride Parade go by under my hotel balcony. Or the time when I was out on my daily run during a trip to NYC and accidentally found myself running alongside the St. Patrick’s Day Parade.
Even last weekend at the lake, I popped over to a charming local town and found myself in the middle of a DOG PARADE.
Luckiest weekend ever.
This happens to me a lot – landing in the middle of a parade. In those moments, I feel that joy is following me. It’s a great reminder that life is filled with delight, even when things are difficult.
If you’ve been getting my emails for any length of time, you know that I consistently choose to put myself in the path of joy and treat my life and business like my own parade. (Y’all don’t even know what’s coming for my 50th birthday in 2023.)

What about you?
When was the last time you did something purely just for the joy of it?
When was the last time you treated your life like a flashy parade?
When was the last time you turned your business into a full-on joyfest?
If it’s been awhile, just know that you can create joy even when life is full of stress & anxiety. Joy is healing. Joy can be your PURPOSE. It’s certainly a guiding principle in my own life. The world needs more joy, and I’m here to bring it to every single one of you booberries.
If joy seems too far out of reach… if the world seems too bleak & uncertain… I want to challenge you today.
You are capable of experiencing numerous emotions in a single day. You can make room for joy and a kaleidoscope of other feelings. You can access pain and joy. It’s not an either/or; it’s a both/and.
Moments of joy in your day are crucial because these are moments that lift your energy levels. Joy is the fuel in your tank. It makes you healthier, and studies show that it extends your lifespan. Joy is always free and available to you.
What’s one way you can bring joy into your life today?
If you struggle to answer this question, I want you to make a joy list. Think of 5-7 things that bring you joy. Even better if these things are simple and easy to indulge in – like stepping outside to breathe the fresh air, looking at photos of your pets, taking a five-minute dance break, or doing a light stretch on the floor.
The most important thing is that you don’t wait or procrastinate.
Put yourself on the path of joy today!
xo.
