The average woman spends 31 years of her life on a diet.
Yes, you read that correctly. No, sadly, it’s not a typo. 31 years.
By the end of your life—when you tally up all the hours, weeks, and months that you’ve spent doing a diet, detox, or some other diet-esque sytem (Atkins, Weight Watchers, Paleo, clean eating, gluten-free, juice cleansing, whatever the trend of the moment might be), the grand total will be: 31 years.
31 years counting calories, carbs and points. 31 years ducking out of photos, standing in the back row of life, avoiding the camera and the spotlight. 31 years: gone.
Can you imagine all of the businesses that don’t get launched, the books that don’t get written, the social movements that never get off the ground, the vacations that never get booked, the memories that never get made… all because women are so obsessed with their bodies, so distracted and preoccupied with the latest “correct” way to eat?
It’s such a waste of our lives. It’s horrifying to think about. It’s unacceptable.
But we can change the storyline. The insanity can stop, right now.
I am urging you:
STOP dieting. Say “fuck you” and “never again” to the grotesquely profitable diet industry—an industry that is designed to keep women feeling terrified, unworthy, and disempowered.
STOP treating your body like a terrible child who needs to be punished.
START treating your body with care, attentiveness, and respect.
You can do it. I can help guide you. It would be my highest honor.
I’ve created a trademarked process called BARE that will help you to lose weight safely, gradually, and permanently… with a fierce, feminist, NO DIET approach.
The BARE process will change your body, and it will change the way you value your time and your life. Enroll here. Do it for yourself, for your own health and confidence, and do it for the girls and young women in your life who are watching you, looking to you for cues and guidance. Show those girls: Your female body is amazing and worthy of love, attention, and respect, at any age, at any size… and don’t let anyone convince you otherwise.
BARE begins on November 14th and runs for 6 weeks. I can’t imagine a more empowering way to wrap up this year. I hope to see you in there.
Ladies: let’s rise.
